Recently I wrote about the robins that built a nest on the gutter at the corner of our house. Mama Robin has been sitting in the nest for weeks, and it looks like her patience has paid off. Yesterday I got my first glimpse of two babies!
In this photo you can barely see their tiny heads and beaks craning about the nest, but they are there. When Mama leaves they rise up as far as they can, opening their mouths wide in anticipation of her arrival with something good to eat.
We'll be watching as they learn to fly, then eventually move out. I'll miss my little renters.
